FAQ Page: Cypher Micro and Micro Pro Cooler Installation and Usage

Q1: How do I register my Cypher Micro Cooler system?

A: Activate your warranty by registering within 30 days of purchase. Scan the QR code in the guide or visit this link.

Q2: What are the specifications of the Cypher Micro Cooler?

A: The cooler has a max current of 7A, working voltage of 24V, and a rated cooling capacity of 200 watts. It uses a micro brushless inverter compressor and an axial flow fan, both rated at 24V.

Q3: What items are included with the Cypher Micro Cooler?

A: The package includes 1 Cypher Micro Cooler, 1 Wired Remote Control, 1 Fluid kettle, and 1 set of Rubber isolators.

Q4: How do I control the Cypher Micro Cooler?

A: The cooler is controlled via a wired remote, with a long press to turn the system On/Off and short presses to cycle through the 4 fan speeds. You can also switch between internal and external fan modes.

Q5: How do I mount the Cypher Micro Cooler?

A: Determine the best location, ensuring it's away from heat sources and has sufficient air gap at the back. Mark and drill holes, install rivnuts, attach the base plate with rubber isolators, and secure the system with 2 ball pin connectors.

Q6: How do I fill the fluid kettle?

A: Mix 1 part Chillout Systems Coolant Formula to 1 part deionized water (1:1). Unscrew the kettle lid, pour in your fluid to just over 2/3’s of the kettle’s volume, and allow the internal pump to cycle the fluid through the fluid lines, discharging the air in the tubing.

Q7: How do I install the wiring?

A: Connect the wiring harness to the system and run it to your electrical source, either directly to the battery with an inline fuse or to a 40-amp relay if using a switch. Trim excess wire and connect accordingly.

Q8: Can I switch between internal and external fan modes?

A: Yes, while the system is OFF, long press MODE for 3 seconds. All three Air Volume lights will flash to confirm the switch to an external fan mode. The Low Air Volume will flash once to confirm the switch to internal fan mode.

Q9: What additional items are frequently paired with the Cypher Micro Cooler?

A: Items often paired with the cooler include the Pro Touring Sport Cooling Shirt, No Drip 1/4th Inch Shirt Adapters, 24 Volts Rechargeable Battery Pack, 10ft Insulated Coolant Hose, 3" Neoprene Air Duct Hose, and more.

Q10: What should I do if I want to use a different antifreeze solution?

A: If using Propylene Glycol solution, the concentration should not exceed 25%. If using another antifreeze solution, its viscosity at 40°F / 25°C should not exceed 2.2mPa·s. Purified water is also suitable if Chillout Systems Coolant Formula is not available.
